The Challenge
An automotive electronics manufacturer approached Yisen Spring with a precision spring requirement for an in-vehicle communication module.
The component was installed inside a compact electronic assembly where available space was extremely limited. At the same time, the spring needed to maintain stable mechanical contact under continuous vehicle vibration and repeated operating conditions.
The customer's existing contact structure was experiencing inconsistent contact performance during long-term operation. The challenge was to develop a compact spring solution that could provide reliable contact pressure while fitting precisely within the restricted installation space.
For automotive communication systems, even a small mechanical contact component can have an important role in maintaining stable connections between electronic modules. The spring therefore needed to achieve a careful balance between miniaturization, contact force, structural stability, and fatigue resistance.

The Yisen Solution
Yisen Spring's engineering team began by reviewing the customer's existing assembly structure and identifying the key factors affecting contact stability.
Rather than simply replacing the original component with a standard spring, our engineers analyzed the installation space, contact position, working stroke, and required spring force.
The spring geometry was then redesigned around the customer's actual application.
Key parameters including wire diameter, coil diameter, pitch, active length, and contact configuration were carefully adjusted to achieve the required contact behavior within the limited space.
During the development process, multiple prototypes were produced for evaluation. The engineering team compared different spring configurations and refined the geometry based on dimensional fit and mechanical performance.
Particular attention was given to maintaining consistent contact pressure while allowing sufficient flexibility for repeated movement and vibration.
Material selection was also considered according to the customer's operating environment. The selected spring material needed to provide an appropriate combination of elasticity, fatigue resistance, dimensional stability, and corrosion resistance for the intended application.
After the design was finalized, Yisen Spring optimized the manufacturing process to ensure consistent production of the miniature components.
From initial design analysis and prototype development to precision manufacturing and inspection, the project was handled as an integrated engineering and production process.

The Result
The redesigned contact spring successfully integrated into the customer's compact automotive communication module.
The optimized geometry provided stable mechanical contact while maintaining the dimensional requirements of the assembly. The miniature spring design also allowed the component to work within the customer's restricted installation space without requiring major changes to the surrounding structure.
Through iterative prototyping, engineering optimization, and precision manufacturing, Yisen Spring transformed a challenging contact requirement into a production-ready spring solution.
The project demonstrated Yisen Spring's ability to develop miniature precision springs for automotive electronics and communication systems, supporting customers from initial concept and sample development through mass production.
