Project Challenges
An industrial machinery manufacturer turned to Yisen Springs for custom precision springs applied in continuously running mechanical assemblies.
Fitted inside compact motion mechanisms, the spring undertakes controlled positioning and component resetting. During equipment operation, this component is exposed to cyclic mechanical movement, vibration and continuous loads.
The customer’s original springs could not retain stable mechanical properties after long-duration operation. Variations in spring force and dimensional accuracy impaired the positioning precision of the mechanism and undermined the overall stability of the equipment.
Core project challenge: Custom-engineer a spring that perfectly matches the existing assembly structure, delivers consistent spring force under cyclic operating conditions, ensures reliable motion and maintains sustained uniform performance.
Yisen’s Solution
Yisen Springs’ engineering team first reviewed the customer’s equipment assembly layout, installation clearance and working conditions.
Rather than merely selecting standard springs by dimensions, engineers analyzed the mating relationship between the spring and adjacent mechanical parts. Key considerations included required working spring force, stroke, mounting position, operating frequency and available installation space.
Based on the above analysis, the spring profile was optimized to better align with the mechanical motion characteristics of the equipment.
The engineering team fine-tuned parameters including wire diameter, outer diameter, pitch, number of active coils, free length and end configuration. The goal was to meet spring force requirements while ensuring smooth movement and sufficient structural stability.
Multiple prototype versions were produced for testing and evaluation to verify assembly compatibility, spring force, deformation performance and stability under repeated operation.
Materials were selected according to the service environment. The selected material strikes a proper balance among elasticity, tensile strength, fatigue resistance and durability to fit this application.
Once the design was finalized, Yisen Springs converted the optimized prototype into a standardized, controllable production workflow. Precision forming and inspection specifications were established to guarantee consistent dimensions for mass-produced parts.
This integrated solution combines engineering analysis, prototype development, precision machining and quality inspection, turning the customer’s initial application requirements into a fully mass-producible finished spring solution.
Project Outcomes
The optimized springs have been successfully installed into the customer’s industrial mechanical assemblies to deliver the required mechanical reset and positioning functions.
The improved structure enhances compatibility between the spring and surrounding mechanisms, keeping spring force stable throughout repeated operation cycles.
Through multiple rounds of prototype iteration and process optimization, Yisen Springs supplied custom-made components exclusively for the customer’s equipment, instead of off-the-shelf standard springs.
This project fully demonstrates Yisen Springs’ comprehensive capabilities in delivering precision spring solutions for industrial machinery: from operating condition analysis and structural optimization, prototype development and precision manufacturing, all the way to mass production.
