Main Types
By Structure
- Standard cylindrical: Most common, uniform load, low cost, general applications
- Variable-diameter (conical, tower, barrel): Larger deflection in limited space, anti-resonance
- Variable-pitch: Non-linear stiffness, ideal for variable-load scenarios
- Rectangular wire: 30-50% higher load capacity than round wire, heavy machinery use
- Composite (nested): High load capacity with small outer diameter, molds/heavy equipment
By Material
- Carbon spring steel (65Mn, 70#): Low cost, high strength, room temperature use
- Alloy spring steel (60Si2Mn, 50CrVA): Fatigue/impact resistant, heavy duty/high temperature
- Stainless steel (304, 316, 17-7PH): Corrosion resistant, non-magnetic, food/medical/chemical
- High-temperature alloy (Inconel, Hastelloy): Operates above 600°C, aerospace/engines
- Copper alloy (beryllium bronze): Excellent conductivity, electronics/instruments
By Special Function
- Fatigue-resistant: 3-5x longer life, high-frequency reciprocating motion
- High-temperature: 200-800°C operating range
- Corrosion-resistant: Surface treated (zinc/nickel plating, powder coating)
- Precision miniature: Wire diameter down to 0.05mm, ±0.01mm tolerance
